Commercial access control hardware for installers

Bring the physical hardware for an electrified opening into one clear parts list. OpenAxis Supply offers electric strikes, electrified locks, readers, credentials, controllers, power supplies and related door controls.

Start with the opening and required sequence of operation. Then match the locking hardware, electrical requirements and system components before choosing individual products.

A connected opening starts with a coordinated plan

Four roles. One operating sequence.

Use these roles to organize the hardware list. Confirm the selected models together with your installer, system provider and project requirements.

Shop by the role each component plays. Products within these collections can serve different systems and applications; confirm the exact model and compatibility rather than combining items by appearance.

Before you choose a product

Plan one opening as a connected system.

A reader, locking product and power supply do different jobs. Define what the door should do during authorized entry, normal exit and a loss of power, then have the installer and responsible project team confirm the complete design.

Start with the door, lock and frame

Record the existing lock or exit-device model, latch arrangement, frame material and available preparation. Electric-strike selection depends on the hardware it must work with, not just the faceplate size. Confirm the required application and listing for the complete opening.

Coordinate the electrical and control requirements

List operating voltage, AC or DC, steady and starting current where specified, power-loss behavior and required monitoring. Match the power supply, interface and transfer method to the selected devices. Use the manufacturer’s documents and your system design to confirm the final configuration.

Compare power and connection components

Match credentials to the installed platform

Record the reader model, controller or platform, credential technology, data format and any enrollment requirements. A shared brand or frequency alone is not a complete compatibility check. Confirm licenses, programming and commissioning requirements with the system provider.

Order preparation

Prepare an opening-by-opening hardware list.

An itemized request helps separate hardware sourcing from system design and installation. Include the selected configuration or clearly identify what still needs confirmation.

  • Door and mechanical hardwareProvide door numbers, material, dimensions, handing, frame preparation and existing lock or exit-device models.
  • Required operating sequenceState the planned entry and exit behavior, power-loss behavior and any required monitoring, emergency interfaces or project approvals.
  • Electrical requirementsList model-specific voltage, AC or DC, current requirements, power supply, transfer method and accessories. Have the installer confirm the circuit and load design.
  • Reader, credential and platform detailsRecord reader interface, controller or platform, credential technology and format, plus any license or enrollment requirements. Do not share administrator logins, access codes or live credentials.
  • Supplied scope and release timingSeparate devices, faceplates, trim, cylinders or cores, mounting kits and other accessories. Include quantities, destination ZIP code and required date.

Relevant products from the catalog

Explore hardware for electrified openings.

These examples cover different roles within an access-control project. They are individual items from the catalog and are not presented as a compatible system or a complete installation kit.

Check each listing for its exact configuration and supplied scope. Items shown together are not a matched hardware set.

Questions before you buy

What to confirm with your order.

Can I choose an electric strike using the faceplate dimensions alone?

No. Confirm the lock or exit-device model, latch geometry, frame preparation, required listing, operating mode and electrical requirements. Dimensions help establish fit but do not establish the complete application.

Will a reader work with any credential at the same frequency?

Confirm the exact credential technology, data format, reader capability and controller or platform requirements. Matching frequency alone does not confirm enrollment or operation in the intended system.

Are the products shown here a ready-to-install kit?

No. The product cards illustrate different component categories. Check each listing’s supplied scope and have your installer or system designer confirm the compatible package, accessories and complete opening requirements.

Does OpenAxis install or program access-control systems?

OpenAxis is an online hardware supplier. Installation, wiring, system design, software setup, credential enrollment and commissioning are outside the services described here. Use your responsible installer or system provider to coordinate those tasks.
